The official Dog Mayor of Tuscaloosa Race is a fundraiser hosted by the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter Foundations. All funds collected during our fundraiser will be going to helping shelter dogs in the Tuscaloosa Animal Shelter and support shelter pets in our community. Voting for your favorite dog candidate helps fund crutial shelter projects such as veteranarian care, enrichment programs, shelter supplies, and so much more!

The campaign may be over...but our mission is just beginning.

A few months ago, the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter Foundation was just an idea.

An idea that started after volunteering at TMAS and realizing something important...

Tuscaloosa is full of people who love animals.

People wanted to help.

They just needed a way.

Because of this incredible community, our very first Dog Mayor campaign raised more than $24,000 to support shelter pets.
