Healing Hearts Fund

Through our medical treatment funds, donations help provide lifesaving veterinary care for shelter dogs facing medical challenges. Many of these dogs would otherwise struggle to find homes due to the cost of treatment. Thanks to our supporters, these dogs receive the care they need and the opportunity for a healthy future.

What is Heartworm Disease?

  • Heartworms are parasites transmitted by mosquitoes.

  • They live in a dog's heart, lungs, and blood vessels.

  • Without treatment, heartworm disease can cause severe damage and become life-threatening.

  • Treatment is effective but can be expensive and requires several months of care and activity restrictions.
